Aon subsidiary NFP has appointed Thomas Strong (pictured) as senior vice president of construction technology and innovation.

In his new role, Strong will join NFP’s construction and infrastructure (C&I) group, helping to enhance the company’s expertise in emerging technologies and innovation within the construction industry.

Based in Toronto, he will report to Adrian Pellen, managing director and co-leader of the C&I division, and brings more than 20 years of experience in construction technology to NFP.

“By investing in talent, including Thomas, we’re enhancing our position to provide expertise on how to most effectively assess and implement technology to drive better performance and reduce risk.”

Strong brings more than 20 years of experience in construction technology to NFP. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Building Transformations, a nonprofit organization that promotes the integration of new technologies in architecture, engineering, and construction.

Before joining NFP, Strong also served as a consultant for Wired Construction, providing guidance to clients in the building and infrastructure sectors. Additionally, he held the role of chief technology officer at construction firm EllisDon.

Commenting on his career move, Strong said: “I’m excited to join NFP’s future-minded C&I team and look forward to building on the progress they’ve made in recent years. Given the volume of recent advancements in construction technology, clients need guidance on how to stay competitive with tech while avoiding risk to their employees and projects.
