Lockton Re has announced the appointment of Rachel Cohn as senior broker. Cohn will lead the newly established international casualty facultative practice, which will be part of the existing International property and casualty (P&C) division based in London. She is expected to join later this month.

Cohn joins Lockton Re with extensive experience in the reinsurance market, having most recently served as a senior international casualty facultative underwriter.

Her expertise spans both the US and London casualty reinsurance markets, as well as experience in global casualty in the primary market.

Keith Harrison (pictured above), CEO of Lockton Re International, highlighted the importance of the appointment, stating that the new practice is being launched in response to growing demand for facultative reinsurance services.

“Rachel will be a key part of this continued expansion, working alongside our casualty facultative team in North America led by Craig Wadman and our international fac team in London led by Ben Day,” Harrison said.

Carla Moffett, head of international property and casualty at Lockton Re, added that the new appointment will allow the company to extend its offering to casualty clients.

“Rachel will have the opportunity to expand our casualty fac capabilities working with experts across Lockton Re to bring the best solutions to clients, which is what our collaborative and dynamic culture is all about,” Moffett said.

Last month, the reinsurance broker also expanded its Bermuda practice with the appointment of Kristopher Lynn as senior broker and practice leader for agriculture.

With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Lynn has also held positions at Tokio Millennium Re and ACE, and served on the boards of Gestione Rischi Agricoli Integrati and A&A S.r.l. His experience spans various sectors of the re/insurance industry and different regions globally.
