Managing principal lauds experience of the newly promoted lawyers

Insurance law firm Gilchrist Connell has promoted 12 lawyers across its network. These promotions, effective from July 1, include elevations to special counsel, senior associate, and associate ranks. The company announcement follows the recent promotion of Lotta Noel in Perth and Jacob Redden in Brisbane to principal positions.

The newly promoted lawyers are:


Kate Kellendonk (Perth): Focuses on public liability, workers’ compensation/employers’ liability, and industrial diseases. Recognized by Best Lawyers in its “Ones to Watch” insurance category since 2023.
Jade Wishart (Perth): Experienced in professional indemnity and financial lines, defending complex claims against various professionals.
Myles Bryant (Sydney): Specializes in public liability claims, particularly personal injury and property damage claims.
James Reid (Sydney): Leads the defence of public liability and professional indemnity claims, especially those involving solicitors, medical professionals, and real estate agents.

Senior Associates:


Isabella Fyfe (Melbourne): Skilled litigator advising on liability claims and coverage matters, regularly representing insurers and self-insureds in personal injury claims.
Naomi Schlaepfer (Perth): Specializes in professional indemnity matters and subrogated recoveries.
Claudio Trovato (Sydney): Handles professional negligence and casualty matters, representing insured and self-insured entities, including in solicitors’ professional indemnity, health, liability, and complex recoveries.
Linda Zeng (Sydney): Professional indemnity adviser with expertise in coverage and defence of cyber and technology claims.
Louisa Henderson (Sydney): Excels in coverage and defense of professional indemnity claims, with a focus on cyber and technology-related matters.
